ActHIB Dosage

General Information on ActHIB Dosages

Some considerations to keep in mind regarding the ActHIB vaccine include the following:

  • ActHIB is typically given as four separate doses during early childhood.

  • This vaccine is injected into a muscle (intramuscularly), usually in the thigh or upper arm.

  • Children can be vaccinated if they have a minor illness, such as the common cold. However, the vaccine should be postponed if the child is moderately or severely ill.

  • If you are unsure about anything related to dosing with ActHIB, talk with your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
