What Is Atrovent Nasal Spray?
Atrovent® nasal spray (
ipratropium nasal spray) is a prescription medication used to treat a runny nose. Atrovent 0.06% nasal spray is approved to treat a runny nose that is caused by either the
common cold or seasonal
allergies. Atrovent 0.03% nasal spray is approved to treat a runny nose that occurs all year long (due to allergies or other causes). Atrovent nasal spray does not help treat nasal congestion or sneezing.

Brand-name Atrovent nasal spray is made by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Generic forms of Atrovent nasal spray are also available

How Does Atrovent Nasal Spray Work?
Atrovent nasal spray belongs to a group of medications known as anticholinergics or antimuscarinics. Atrovent nasal spray works by decreasing the fluid production in the glands that line the nasal passages, helping to relieve a runny nose.
