The patents for Atrovent nasal spray have expired, and generic versions of the medication are available. Generic Atrovent nasal spray comes in two strengths, ipratropium bromide 0.03% nasal spray and ipratropium bromide 0.06% nasal spray. Several companies manufacture the generic nasal spray, including Apotex, Corp. and Bausch & Lomb.

Atrovent® nasal spray (ipratropium nasal spray) is a prescription medication used to treat a runny nose due to the following causes:
 
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Year-round (perennial) allergies
  • Year-round (perennial), non-allergic nasal problems
  • The common cold.
     
Atrovent nasal spray is made by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. However, the patents for Atrovent nasal spray have expired and generic versions are currently available.

  • Ipratropium bromide 0.06% nasal spray, which contains 165 sprays, with 42 mcg per spray.
