Generic Atrovent Nasal Spray
The patents for Atrovent nasal spray have expired, and generic versions of the medication are available. Generic Atrovent nasal spray comes in two strengths, ipratropium bromide 0.03% nasal spray and ipratropium bromide 0.06% nasal spray. Several companies manufacture the generic nasal spray, including Apotex, Corp. and Bausch & Lomb.
Atrovent® nasal spray (ipratropium nasal spray) is a prescription medication used to treat a runny nose due to the following causes:
- Seasonal allergies
- Year-round (perennial) allergies
- Year-round (perennial), non-allergic nasal problems
- The common cold.
Atrovent nasal spray is made by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. However, the patents for Atrovent nasal spray have expired and generic versions are currently available.
Generic Atrovent nasal spray is made by the following companies:
- Apotex, Corp.
- Bausch & Lomb
- Roxane Laboratories.
Generic Atrovent nasal spray comes in the following strengths:
- Ipratropium bromide 0.03% nasal spray, which contains 345 sprays, with 21 mcg per spray
- Ipratropium bromide 0.06% nasal spray, which contains 165 sprays, with 42 mcg per spray.
