Who Should Not Take Boostrix?

You should not take Boostrix if you:
 
  • Have had a serious reaction to any component of the vaccine; the inactive ingredients in Boostrix; or any other vaccine containing tetanus toxoid, diphtheria toxoid, or pertussis antigen. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have experienced a coma, decreased level of consciousness, or prolonged seizures within seven days of any vaccine containing pertussis antigen.
