Talk with your healthcare provider prior to using desonide foam if you:
- Have any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives
- Are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (see Verdeso and Pregnancy)
- Are breastfeeding (see Verdeso and Breastfeeding).
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

There is only one standard dose for this medication. As always, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.

Desonide foam may react with a few other medications (see Drug Interactions With Desonide Foam).
An overdose with this medication can cause serious problems. This is especially true if too much is used over an extended period. If you or someone else may have used too much or taken this medication by mouth, seek immediate medical attention.
