Nap Time

Signs That Your Baby Is Ready for a Nap

You can help your baby get the hours of sleep she needs by recognizing and responding to signs that nap time is needed. Just as she begins letting you know she is sleepy, you should be ready to put her down for a nap while she's still awake.
Doing so consistently will teach your baby to fall asleep on her own, while helping her develop healthy nap-time and bedtime habits.
Your baby may be trying to tell you it is nap time by doing any of the following:
  • Being fussy
  • Rubbing eyes
  • Yawning.
