Desonide Foam Information
Desonide foam (Verdeso®) is a medication prescribed for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in adults and children as young as three months old. This medicine can help treat inflammation and itching by suppressing an overactive immune system, as well as reducing inflammation. It is typically applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin twice daily.
Although this steroid may help relieve symptoms of atopic dermatitis, not everyone can use this medication. Information on desonide foam should be discussed with your healthcare provider before starting treatment to minimize risks and to help ensure safe treatment. For instance, you may not be able to use this medicine if you have certain allergies, if you are taking certain medications, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
While most people tolerate this medicated skin foam well, side effects are possible and can include coughing or burning at the application site. In most cases, however, reactions to the drug tend to be mild and easy to treat.
(Click Desonide Foam for more information, including a detailed description of the medicine's effects, a list of potential side effects that may occur with treatment, and dosing tips on when and how to apply this product.)
