Natroba Medication Information

Natroba^® (spinosad) is a prescription head lice medicine. It comes in liquid form and is applied to the hair and scalp for 10 minutes. Sometimes, a single treatment will be adequate to completely get rid of the lice. However, if you can still see live lice a week after the treatment, a second treatment is necessary.

 

As with any lice treatment, you will also need to wash recently worn clothing, bedding, and hats in hot water. Combs and brushes will also need to be washed in hot water.

 

Natroba is not for everyone, so talk to your healthcare provider before using the medication if you have any skin conditions or allergies. Also, inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
