Triple Paste Ointment Information
Triple Paste® Medicated Ointment is an over-the-counter (OTC) medication approved to treat and prevent diaper rash. It contains zinc oxide, a common ingredient used in most diaper rash products. The ointment helps to protect the skin from irritants and may also serve as a mild astringent (helping to dry oozing of minor irritation) and a weak antiseptic.
For both the treatment and prevention of diaper rash, you should apply Triple Paste liberally as often as necessary, typically after every diaper change. If your baby's rash does not improve within seven days, or if it goes away but returns quickly, stop using the ointment and report this information to your child's healthcare provider.
