Lupron Dangers
Although most people do not experience any problems with Lupron® (leuprolide acetate), certain dangers are associated with the use of this drug. For example, this medication may increase your risk for potentially serious complications, such as:
- Diabetes
- Osteoporosis
- Pituitary gland problems.
To help minimize your risk of these and other possible dangers with Lupron, make sure your healthcare provider has a complete list of all medications you are taking, as well as a complete medical history. You may not be able to safely use this drug if you have certain medical conditions, such as heart disease, depression, or a seizure disorder.
