Who Should Not Receive Infanrix?

Your child should not receive Infanrix if he or she has:
 
  • Had a serious reaction to this vaccine or any components of it, including the inactive ingredients. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • A progressive neurological disorder (such as uncontrolled epilepsy), unless the condition is being adequately treated.
     
  • Had a serious reaction known as encephalopathy within seven days after any pertussis-containing vaccine. Such serious reactions might include:
 
    • Coma
    • Unconsciousness
    • Prolonged seizures.
 

Precautions and Warnings With Infanrix: Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which your child should not receive Infanrix, along with several precautions and warnings to be aware of before your child is vaccinated. However, it is possible that not all of the warnings or precautions with Infanrix were discussed in this article.
