Kids Home > Scolioses

Were you looking for information about Scoliosis? Scolioses is a common misspelling of scoliosis.
Scoliosis, a musculoskeletal disorder, causes an abnormal curvature of the spine. In most cases, the cause of this disorder is not known. The condition can run in families, which means that a child who has a parent, brother, or sister with the disorder should be checked regularly for scoliosis by a healthcare provider. People with milder curves in their backbone may only need to visit their healthcare provider for periodic observation, while those with severe curves may require surgery or bracing.
