MenHibrix Drug Interactions

Your child's healthcare provider will need to know about any other medications, vitamins, or supplements your child is taking before he or she receives MenHibrix. This vaccine can cause potentially serious reactions with heparin, cortisone, or cyclosporine, just to name a few. Talking to your child's healthcare provider about drug interactions with MenHibrix can help reduce the risk of complications.

An Overview of Interactions With MenHibrix

MenHibrix® (Hib vaccine and meningococcal vaccine) may react with a few other medications. Some of the drugs that may interact with MenHibrix include but are not limited to:

      • Betamethasone (Celestone®)
      • Cortisone
      • Dexamethasone (Decadron®)
      • Fludrocortisone (Florinef®)
      • Hydrocortisone (Cortef®)

      • Prednisolone (Pediapred®)
      • Prednisone
