Rotarex

Were you looking for information about Rotarix? Rotarex is a common misspelling of Rotarix.

Rotarix® (rotavirus vaccine) is a childhood vaccine used to prevent rotavirus (this virus can cause a common but potentially serious infection that results in severe diarrhea in infants and young children). The vaccine is given as two separate doses during early infancy. Unlike many other vaccines, this one is given by mouth.

Rotarix is a live vaccine, meaning that it contains the living virus which has been altered in such a way that it does not actually cause the disease.
