Summary of Scarlet Fever Symptoms

These possible scarlet fever symptoms are not a sure sign of scarlet fever. Similar symptoms can be caused by other illnesses, including:
 
  • Measles
  • Viral exanthems (an eruptive virus)
  • Kawasaki's disease (a rare disease that causes inflammation of blood vessels)
  • Toxic shock syndrome
  • Allergic reaction to medicines.
     
If you or your child develops possible scarlet fever symptoms, visit your doctor so that the problem can be diagnosed and treated.
