Sklice Lotion

Available in the form of a lotion, Sklice® (ivermectin lotion) is applied to the hair and scalp to help kill head lice. It works by paralyzing the lice and suffocating them. Sklice is also designed to kill the nits (eggs). Only one application of the lotion is required, and it is not necessary to do "nit picking" to comb out all of the eggs.

Apply the lotion thoroughly on the hair and scalp, and leave it on for 10 minutes. Make sure to take your time to apply this lotion, as rushing this process decreases the chances of fully getting rid of the lice.

Children as young as six months old can use Sklice. It is not approved in younger infants, as they have a higher risk for absorbing more of the medication through the skin.
