Tessalon Drug Interactions

Tessalon^® (benzonatate) is a prescription cough medication. At this time, Tessalon seems unlikely to interact with other medications. However, the possibility of drug interactions with Tessalon cannot be completely ruled out.

 

Because Tessalon is an older medication, it is possible that thorough drug interaction tests were not performed during its development. However, it is reassuring that no significant interactions have been reported throughout its many years of use.

 

Although there are no known drug interactions, be sure to include Tessalon in your medication list, along with all prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you take. This is important in order for your healthcare provider to have the most complete view of your health as possible.
