Tessalon Pearls

Tessalon® (benzonatate) is a cough suppressant approved for adults and children as young as 10 years old. It comes in two strengths (100 mg and 200 mg) and is available in brand-name and generic forms.
Tessalon Perles is the brand name given to the 100-mg strength of the liquid-filled gel capsules. They are distinctive for their spherical shape; however, this also makes them easy to lose, since they roll off countertops easily. The 200-mg strength of brand-name Tessalon is not spherical.
