Tessalon Uses

Can Children Use Tessalon?

Tessalon is approved for children as young as 10 years old. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using Tessalon in children.

Never give Tessalon to a child who is unable to swallow tablets or capsules, as this medication must be swallowed whole. Chewing it or sucking it can lead to serious complications. Make sure your child takes the medication correctly.

Off-Label Tessalon Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this product for something other than treating a cough (this would be known as an "off-label" use). At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for Tessalon.
