Tessalon® (benzonatate) is a cough medicine that comes in the following strengths and forms:
- Tessalon 100 mg liquid-filled gel capsules
- Tessalon 200 mg liquid-filled gel capsules.
Tessalon Perles is the brand name given to the 100-mg capsules. These capsules are distinctive for their spherical shape (the 200-mg capsules are not spherical). Both strengths are available by prescription only and are usually taken up to three times a day.
