Tesslon
Were you looking for information about Tessalon? Tesslon is a common misspelling of Tessalon.
Tessalon® (benzonatate) is a cough medication that is available by prescription only. It comes in two strengths and is sold in both brand-name and generic forms. The medicine comes in the form of liquid-filled gel capsules and is usually taken three times a day. Most people have no problems with it, but possible side effects include constipation, nausea, and a "chilly" sensation.
Before taking Tessalon, your healthcare provider needs to know about all the medications you take and whether you have any other medical conditions. Also, make sure to tell him or her if you have any allergies or are pregnant, thinking about becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
(Click Tessalon to read the full eMedTV article on this cough medicine, including how it works and what to expect during treatment. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
