Triple Paste Drug Interactions

Other drugs are not believed to interact with Triple Paste. However, you should still tell your child's healthcare provider that you are using this ointment before he or she recommends another treatment option. Triple Paste could reduce the effectiveness of other diaper rash products, particularly if it is applied first, since it works as a barrier.

Are Triple Paste Interactions Possible?

Triple Paste® Medicated Ointment is not known to interact with other medications. However, don't forget to mention Triple Paste when your child's healthcare provider asks about any measures you have taken to treat diaper rash. Knowing what has worked (and what has not) will help your healthcare provider know how to best treat your child's diaper rash.

It is unknown if Triple Paste interacts with any other diaper rash treatments. In general, it is usually unnecessary to apply two products, and Triple Paste could potentially reduce the effectiveness of the other medications -- particularly if it is applied first, since it works as a barrier.

Some medications are not applied at every diaper change, however, so your healthcare provider might recommend using Triple Paste in between these other medicines.

If your healthcare provider recommends that you try a different diaper rash treatment (perhaps even a prescription medication), ask if you should continue to use Triple Paste and if you should apply both products at the same time.
